-"Why has myHogwarts letter confirmation email not arrived yet?!?!? It's been hours! THIS IS WORSE THAN WHEN I TURNED ELEVEN!"

-I have to choose difficult things! Including, finally, Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff! My family's theories to the effect that Hufflepuffs are Paladins, Gryffindors are Fighters, Ravenclaws are Mages, and Slytherins are Rogues help me with the supremely difficult choice.
-"OMG THE HUFFLEPUFF COMMON ROOM IS AWESOMERAD!"
-"Whyyy do I suck at Potions so much?"
-"What, I suck even more at spellcasting? Damn!"
-Finish going through the first book once, look at clock, realize it's about 2.
-"I wanna go through ALL THE BOOKS NOW! Why is only PS open? WHY SO CRUEL, JKR?"
-Finally make myself stop. Get to bed about 4:15.

-"Siblings! I know SO MUCH COOL STUFF!"
-Try to make a potion for reals, get killed by massive lag. Fuck you, Flash Player. Switch to other browser.
-Realize I'm missing a Chocolate Frog Card. Go back through the entire book hunting for it and anything else I missed.
-Get little brother to sign up.
-Attempt to make a potion for reals again.
-Potion brewing....
-Still brewing....
-"LAGGED TO DEATH AGAIN? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Okay, okay, how's about I go buy a better cauldron...."
-Finally make simple potion, sulk about point value. Discover bug in another potion recipe means it may be impossible to make. Experience DEEP WOE.

Date: 2012-04-21 02:05 pm (UTC)Thanks for the tip on the potions, I tried to brew sleeping draught so much yesterday, and I always did something wrong in the end :(
Also, I think I earned like 100 points for Hufflepuff yesterday, by failing in duels against them so much, haha... And I only got 30 points for Ravenclaw in Spells (against mixed houses).
Where can I see how the other houses do?
